Hello there, in Stepmania, exist differents kinds of songs data like (DWI. SM) and others. Some versions of Stepmania recognize only the most used types of Songs data files, These are: BMS - Used in Older versions of Stepmania (Not very popular, used in Stepmania 3.0 and below). It has a lot of incompatibility with newest version of Stepmania. DWI & SM - Used for all players, because it has a very high compatibility with version of Stepmania 3.0 and above. even with Stepmania 4 and Stepmania 5... It has nice compatibility with differents versions of Stepmania. SSC - The most newest Song data file used in the latest versions of Stepmania 5, is highly recommended uses it only in versions of Stepmania 4 and Stepmania 5. It don't work with Stepmania 3.9 or below. |
